Summer Camp at The Theatre Lab: Limited Spots available!
The Theatre Lab is D.C.’s largest independent nonprofit school for the dramatic arts, located at 900 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001.
For more than three decades, The Theatre Lab has provided award-winning summer youth programs to the Washington community. Each summer, we are the artistic home to more than 550 young people from all over the metropolitan area who take part in our acclaimed acting camps and theatre training institutes.

- Our theatre camps consist of 1-2 week long sessions with different themes including Detectives in the Spotlight, Theatre from Around the World, and Shakespearian Summer. Browse our full offerings here: https://theatrelab.org/grade-1-6-summer/
- Our summer camp programs are divided into groups based on the grade that the student is entering in the fall: the Bravos (rising 1st-2nd graders), the Encores (rising 3rd-4th graders), and the Standing Ovations (rising 5th-6th graders). We place all children with their peers based on grade regardless of theatre experience.
- Limited camp spots are available for the rising 1st-2nd graders and rising 5th-6th graders. While our 3rd-4th grade sessions are currently at capacity, we highly encourage you to join the waitlist. There is no fee to do so, and movement can occur as summer schedules solidify.
Scholarships are available!
We’re committed to making our camps accessible, and encourage all applicants to apply for financial aid. A third of our campers receive financial aid, and we offer both partial and full scholarships for tuition, beforecare, and aftercare. To help you plan your summer with confidence, we provide financial aid decisions within just one week of application. Payment plans are available.
