Set on 450 acres and located just outside of Charlottesville, VA, Oakland School’s five-week summer camp offers the perfect blend of academic enrichment and traditional summer fun! Between horseback riding, arts and crafts, swimming lessons, and archery, your child can develop memories to last a lifetime while gaining academic confidence. Offering day and overnight options, our specialized summer camp is perfect for children ages 6 through high school (9 through high school for boarding) with learning and attention issues, such as Dyslexia and ADHD, as well as those who want to sharpen skills or focus on a particular academic area of interest. With small class sizes and individualized instruction, Summer Camp at Oakland School will help your child develop the confidence they need to return to school in the fall.
Oakland School also offers a winter day school program for children ages 6 through graduation. The entire staff of Oakland School is committed to creating a nurturing environment in which each student’s particular academic, emotional, and social needs are met. We recognize that every child is unique and learns differently and that an academic program must be tailored for each individual. Our goal is to encourage and help students achieve their potential, so that they will develop a love of learning as well as a firm sense of self-worth and respect for themselves and others.
