Tuesdays, Oct. 13 – Nov. 24, 2026, 5:30-6:30 PM ET (No class 11/3)
If you love manga and have always wanted to try making your own, this is the perfect place to start! Learn the basics of how to draw favorite characters in this popular style, then try designing characters of your own. We’ll also cover the fundamentals of making a comic, from plotting, to planning, to panels, and more. By the end of these 6 weeks, you’ll have created your very own mini-manga!
About Manga for Teens: Our manga courses for teens offer budding artists the chance to explore the rich world of Japan’s most popular cultural export in a group of like-minded peers and with guidance from professional artists. Students will get to draw characters from their favorite series and try a variety of popular styles, all while developing the fundamentals necessary to create original characters and manga with their own unique artistic voices.
With several courses offered each semester, we have options suited to both complete beginners and experienced artists.
