Acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Lizz Wright brings her richly expressive voice—described The New York Times as “a smooth, dark alto possessed of qualities you might associate with barrel-aged bourbon or butter-soft leather”—to the stage with music rooted in gospel, jazz, soul, and the American South. Celebrating a 20-year career that bridges genres and generations, Wright enters a new chapter with Shadow, her deeply personal 2024 album exploring love, loss, and healing. Released on her own label, Blues & Greens Records, the album features collaborations with Angélique Kidjo and Meshell Ndegeocello and reflects Wright’s continued evolution as a powerful and poetic voice in American music.
