The International Academy of the Brain (iBRAIN) in Washington, DC invites families, caregivers, and community members to attend our Open House on April 30th and experience a program designed for students with the most complex learning and medical needs.

iBRAIN is a private, not-for-profit special education program serving students ages 3–22 with moderate to severe brain injuries and neurological conditions. We specialize in supporting children who may be nonverbal, non-ambulatory, medically fragile, or require intensive, individualized interventions to access their education and environment.

At iBRAIN, we believe that every child deserves access to a meaningful, engaging, and highly personalized education. Our unique model integrates academics with a robust therapeutic program, providing students with 15–20 hours per week of related services. This includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, vision services, assistive technology, and other specialized supports—all embedded throughout the school day to maximize progress and independence.

Our classrooms are intentionally small and supported by a highly trained, multidisciplinary team that collaborates closely to meet each student’s individualized goals. We utilize cutting-edge assistive technology and evidence-based practices to help students communicate, engage, and thrive—no matter their starting point.

Families are at the center of everything we do. We partner closely with parents and caregivers, providing consistent communication, support, and advocacy to ensure each child receives the services they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

During our Open House, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour our facility and specialized classrooms
  • Meet our dedicated leadership team
  • Learn about our integrated academic and therapeutic approach
  • Explore the assistive technology and supports available to our students
  • Ask questions and connect with a community that understands your journey

Whether you are a parent seeking the right placement for your child, a professional working with children with complex needs, or someone who knows a family in need of support, we welcome you to come learn more about what makes iBRAIN unique.

Join us on April 30th and discover what’s possible when education, therapy, and compassion come together to support every child’s potential.
