Fall Harvest Festival at Mount Vernon

Celebrate the crisp autumn season with 18th-century activities and demonstrations at the Farm at Mount Vernon.

During this event, you can:
- Explore the Farm.
- Watch wheat treading demonstrations in Washington's innovative 16-sided threshing barn. (10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., & 2:30 p.m.)
- See how laundry was done in the 18th-century and help in the process.
- View demonstrations of 18th-century cooking, candle-making, spinning, textiles, and more.
- Visit the Farrier to learn how horseshoeing was performed in the 18th century.
- Make your way through a straw bale maze.
- Purchase freshly-baked bread from Half Crown Bakehouse, with a reproduction 18th-century clay oven.
- Shop for farm-fresh products from Tasha's Own.
