The festival has grown into a regional favorite, earning Best Food Festival in Northern Virginia by readers of Virginia Living Magazine multiple years in a row.
As a part of its ongoing mission, the Chocolate Lovers Festival Committee supports local nonprofit efforts through its annual grant program. Each year, a portion of the festival proceeds is donated to nonprofit organizations that are located within the city or serve city residents from within the metropolitan Washington area. The grant is awarded to organizations that contribute to the common good and enhance the quality of life within our community—another reason this festival is about more than just chocolate!
