Nature Forward’s 45th Annual Birdathon Fundraiser!

Why Participate?

• Fun for Everyone: The Birdathon is designed to be enjoyable for participants of all ages and skill levels. You don’t need to be an expert to join in the fun—just bring your enthusiasm and love for nature!     

• Group and Family-Friendly Activities: We have everything you need to participate, whether it’s from your window, the local park, on a field trip, or on one of our guided family walks! The Birdathon offers a wonderful chance to bond with friends and family while discovering the amazing diversity of bird species during peak migration in our region. Don’t miss out on these great events:  
  
  •  Join us for our free Birds and Brews event on Saturday, May 10, from 2 PM to 6 PM at Atlas Brew Works in Ivy City, Washington, D.C. Enjoy bird trivia, giveaways, and prizes! For each beer purchased, a dollar will be donated to support Nature Forward. No registration is required. See details here!
  • Register for a bird-themed Nature Forward Family Walk or Adult Program to learn about and experience birds on a guided walk led by regional naturalists. Sign up here: ACTIVE | Nature Forward
• Support a Great Cause: Help us raise $75,000 by May 31, 2025, to connect people to nature and conserve and protect natural habitats. Every dollar raised by Nature Forward Birdathon donors and participants directly supports our vital conservation and education mission work here in the capital region.
